The pinnacle of our white wine portfolio, Benchmark Chardonnay was created as a complement to our Benchmark Red Blend. Benchmark Chardonnay begins with some of the most exclusive Napa Valley vineyards and is a barrel selection of some of the most coveted fruit from these sites. A beautiful pale gold straw in the glass, the 2019 vintage opens with ripe aromas of apricot, peach and yuzu backed by sweet notes of pie crust and praline. Notes of salted caramel, chamomile and baked bread are unveiled on the structured palate that boasts viscosity that lingers.

The top Chardonnay at William Hill comes from a single vineyard in Carneros. The 2019 Chardonnay Benchmark—all barrel fermented, all new French oak—features a hint of struck flint on the nose, plus pencil shavings and a fruit bowl of pear, pineapple and citrus. Full-bodied and plush, it adds hints of hazelnut and white peach, along with a silky texture and ample length.
